Don’t forget School and Sports Physical Exams if your child plans on participating on either a School Sports Team or club (intramural) team. Access Medical Associates have been performing these exams for over 10 years, and doesn’t require an appointment. Just come in and we can help.
Additionally, all of our medical providers are certified to conduct the Student Athlete Cardiac Assessment. Starting with the 2015-2016 school year, all medical providers conducting school sports physicals must have completed a professional development module now required by the New Jersey Department of Education. Our providers will attest to this certification on the Pre-Participation Physical Examination (PPE) form, as well as provide a copy of their certificate to aid your school in compliance with this new State law.
The School Sports Physical Exam involves a medical history and a physical exam. The goal of these exams are to evaluate an athlete’s general health, fitness level, risk of injury and physical well-being. You can prepare for the exam by downloading the PPE form at the following link, and completing pages 1 and 2.
